Cashew Butter Chocolate Banana Smoothie
Our Cashew butter goes great with almost everything, and a smoothie is no exception.
You can make this smoothie as a healthy and filling morning smoothie for post work out with added protein powder, or a delicious treat for you and the kids with added vanilla ice cream, my teen son thinks this smoothie is the best he's ever tasted.
Makes: One large 500ml glass
Prep Time: 5 mins
1 frozen banana
1 cup organic milk, or unsweetened almond or coconut milk
1 tablespoon Matakana nut butters' cashew butter
1 tablespoon of fair trade cocoa or cacao
3 drops Stevia or drizzle of runny honey
1/2 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
2-3 large tablespoons of vanilla ice cream
1 tablespoon protein powder
handful of ice
2 teaspoons of chia and/or linseed
Place all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth.
Warning: Vanilla ice cream and our cashew butter are insanely good together, so heads up, you may need to make double.
