Love chocolate brownie?⠀We do!⠀
All you need is ripe bananas, cocoa or raw cacao and some fresh ground Matakana Nut Butter.

Heading into the summer months the bananas will start to ripen quicker and we will have strawberries galore, what better time to pull out this recipe for a satisfying chocolate fix. All you need to do is stock up on some fresh ground Matakana Nut Butter.


Our kids love to make this 3-ingredient chocolate brownie. And being gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan and refined sugar-free it can cater for everyone! We like to make it with our 'Almond Butter' the best.


Makes 6



3 ripe bananas (about 1 cup mashed)

½ cup of Matakana Nut Butter

¼ cup cocoa powder or raw cacao powder


Preheat the oven to 175C. Grease a small 15cm x 20cm baking tin or 6-8 cupcake tin.

In a large bowl, add the mashed banana, nut butter and cocoa powder and blend well, leaving banana lumps.

Pour mixture into greased tin and bake for around 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.

Remove from oven and allow to cool before slicing or removing from muffin tins.


Serve with coconut yoghurt and strawberries.
